Family Dog FAQ’s

Training should be a enjoyable experience for both you and your dog! Our Family Dog Classes are taught by experienced, professionally certified instructors and feature scientific, reward based training that is innovative, effective, fun, and family oriented. Puppies can start as early as 10 weeks and adult dogs of any age. It’s never to late to start training your dog.

Which class should I take?
How old is your dog? For puppies 10 to 16 weeks of age at the start date of the class can enroll in our (KPT) Kindergarten Puppy Training Class.

Is this is your dog’s first class? Older puppies and adolescents ages 5 to 8 months can enroll in our Basics for Puppies class. 9 months and older, enroll in our Basic Manners Class. We have classes specially tailored to best fit you and your dog.

Has your dog already completed a Basic Manners class with another school? If so, a pre-enrollment assessment is required. Contact us for details

When are classes scheduled?
We offer daytime, evening and weekend mini sessions. Schedules are updated regularly with new class starting dates.

How long are the classes?
Sessions are six weeks in length. Your class will meet once a week (same day and time) for one hour. There may be breaks in the schedule due to holidays, weather cancellations or other special events. Classes and schedules may be subject to change or cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.

How many dogs are in a class?
Classes are taught by one instructor with an assistant and are limited to eight which encourages personal attention and instruction. Private instruction, in facility or in-home is also available.

Who should train the dog in class?
The family member who spends the most time with your dog. However all family members are welcome to attend to observe the class in session. Children 12 or older are permitted to train but must be accompanied by an adult.

How do I enroll?
Classes fill early, so return your completed application as soon as possible. Choose your class starting date. Your place in class will be reserved only when completed registration, and vaccination record is returned with payment in full.
You will receive a final confirmation after payment is received with instructions for attending your class.

Can I stop in to observe a class?
Our training is innovative, effective, fun and family oriented. You are invited to visit us any time classes are scheduled and see for yourself what sets us apart from the ordinary.

Where are classes held?
All our classes are held indoors in our spacious, climate controlled training facility in the Whiteland Business Park, 880 Springdale Road.,Suite 100, Exton, PA 19341.

What is the Refund Policy?
All cancellations must be in writing and will be confirmed by return email.
Your cancellation will not be valid without a written confirmation of receipt from DTCCC.

Full refund minus $20 administrative fee for cancellations received 48 hours or more prior to the first class, or full amount credit in client’s account to be used toward future class within six month period.

50% refund for cancellations received less than 48 hours of the start of the first class.
No refunds after the first class.
