Suzette Nicolini, CPDT

For over 10 years I have been teaching family pet classes, a training and behavior counseling volunteer with the Chester County SPCA (CCSPCA), working individually with families and their dogs, and currently host of the Canine Corner radio show (www.wche1520.com). As a neuromuscular condition I have advances, called Dystonia, I try hard to create a good balance that will allow me to do what I love most—give back to my community, and help you and your dogs live happier, more fulfilled lives together.

My strong commitment to the CCSPCA and DTCCC provides a level of satisfaction and gratitude, which cannot be rivaled, when I see people and their dogs working together and enjoying each other; I am especially happy when I get to reunite with adopted dogs from the CCSPCA, when they and their people attend our classes!

It is a privilege to work with fellow trainers and members of the DTCCC to create a supportive and creative learning environment for all who enter its doors. As with all DTCCC trainers, my goal is to help create a fun, cooperative, and loving relationship between our dogs and us. Therefore, I advocate and utilize positive training and behavior counseling methods, which are the most humane and effective practices for learning. They are based on the principles of how all species learn; dogs learn the same way humans learn. So, if you have a brain and spinal column, it’s a fair playing field!

Membership and Profession Details: Professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers; Associate member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Counselors; member of Association of Professional Humane Educators, and Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT).
