Denise Lacey, CPDT

Denise Lacey began being trained by dogs in 1977. Her first trainer, a schipperke, only managed to train her to throw things for retrieving and go for long walks. Since then ten other dogs have participated in Denise's training.

Denise is currently trained by a labrador, two schipperkes, a border collie, and two mixes. She can successfully work in Flyball, Agility, and Obedience and has begun her basic training in herding, hunt work, and frisbee. All in all the dogs are pleased with the results their positive training methods have had on Denise.

They feel the most pride in her really reliable cookie distribution skills which she demonstrates frequently upon command. She is also proficient in tug, tossing a variety of things, belly rubbing and ear scritching. The dogs training Denise when she lived in Virginia allowed her to help other humans in their training in Flyball, Agility, and Obedience. The current group of training dogs believe that Denise can benefit humans in Pennsylvania and are allowing her out to display her skills at the Dog Training Club of Chester County

Denise enjoys helping other folks become better humans for their dogs. As the saying goes “A tired human is a good human”
