Scott Sensenig, CPDT

As a training member of DTCCC since 1978, I have seen and tried many different training techniques, from the old 'pop and release', prongs and electric shock to now what I beieve and utilize, positive reinforcement.

I am an APDT member, AKC CGC evaluator, Lifetime Member of the National Dog Groomers Assc., and a Certified Pet Nutritional Consultant. I have attended a variety of seminars and training clinics throughout the years, on dog behavior, people behavior, Instructor education, and on working my
own dogs.

"Dog World' experiences include hold various offices and committes for local all breed, specialty breed, obedience, and agility clubs. Showing in OB, conformation, agility, and herding events and judging same in matches.

Variety being the spice of life, I have owned ,trained, or bred , breeds from the Working Group (Akita& Dob), Herding (Border Collie, Aust. Cattle Dog) , Toy (Maltese,Yorkie, Chinese Crested), Non-Spoting (Min Poodles, Dalmation), Sporting (English Springer), and most recently the Terrier Group (Parson Russell), not to mention being in the grooming business for 10 years handling dogs of all types and varieties daily.

I find no dogs doing things wrong in my class and have not run into a bad dog in many years- they are just reacting to what the leash has them attached to. Hopefully that attachment is trying their best to have fun and build a relationship with their dog.
