Scott Sensenig
J. Scott Sensenig — A member since 1984 (having joined as a toddler), I trained under “old-school” aversive methods before transitioning to the science-based reinforcement techniques the Center uses today.
A certified CPDT instructor and AKC CGC/CC/Tricks Evaluator, my canine experience includes conformation handling and AKC/IFC match judging; earning titles in obedience, agility, herding, and earthdog; and hunting behind hounds, beagles, and bassets.
I’ve worked throughout the pet and veterinary industry and have held office in several local dog organizations. I also spent more than a decade in pet grooming and kennel management.
I have shared my life with a wide range of breeds: Dalmatian, English Springer Spaniel, Miniature Poodle, Akita, German Shepherd, Border Collie, Parson Russell Terrier, Belgian Malinois, Maltese, Australian Cattle Dog, Doberman Pinscher, Yorkshire Terrier, Chinese Crested, and Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
Each dog brings its own unique experiences and should be trained accordingly, using the most tailored and reinforcing methods possible.
